Every June the Highlands Motoring Festival brings classic cars, sports cars and unique rarely-seen cars for display, plus the Main Street Parade of Classics, One-Lap Road Rallies, and the High Octane Car Show.

Every Year the town of Highlands comes together to celebrate the coming of Christmas and Hanukkah with songs, the lights and the arrival of Santa Claus who warms the hearts of the children and those who are still children at heart.

The International Friendship Center hosts the "Carnaval de Colores" festival to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. The festival is free and open to the public. It features games, information booths, and local nonprofits, aiming to highlight the contributions of Hispanic communities in the Highlands area.

Every Saturday during the summer months the park holds a free concert where you can sit and listen, bring your picnic basket, dance to the music; and they are always free.
